I have been with BCG (SEA Region) associate for 1.5 year and I applied to Kearney Middle East as Senior Business analyst last week.
This morning I got rejection email. Thus I am planning to re-apply for Business analyst position (they have separate opening for BA and Senior BA).
I am wondering is there any rule from kearney that hamper us to reapply? How should I approach this.

In this case, I'd expect the 1 year ban to apply. So it's not realistic to apply any time soon with them.
If I were you, I'd look at other roles with other firms.
Also, make sure that you work on your application package before submitting again. Meaning, ensure that your CV & CL are great and that you have referrals for the most competitive firms.

It is very likely that you will also be rejected when applying for the seperate role….unless they told you to apply for it.
I highly suggest you get in contact with the recruiter to see if you can indeed apply for this role.
When doing so, make sure you change what's “wrong”! Make sure you have an optimal resume and cover letter and that you ideally have a referral.

Most companies allow to apply again for a different position, however in this case it is unclear how they will consider this, given you are applying for the same position with lower seniority.
Unless they mentioned something else in the email or you have specific deadlines to apply, I would recommend proceeding as follows:
The person who is referring you will probably check with HR first. If they say yes, then you can apply again. If they say no, you can wait for the period they recommend without the issue of another formal rejection, as you would not have formally reapplied through the website.

There is no rule at Kearney that prohibits you from reapplying for a different position. However, there is a general guideline that you should wait 6-12 months before reapplying. This is to give you time to gain more experience and improve your skills.
It is also a good idea to network with people who work at Kearney. This will help you get a better understanding of the company and the specific position you are applying for. It can also give you a chance to get your resume in front of the right people and get a referral vs. getting an automatic rejection from the system.

To add to what my colleagues are saying, I would also recommend reaching out to a recruiter to let them know about your interest in the BA position and seek guidance on how to proceed. There usually is a 6-12 month reapplication time ban, however given that you want to apply for a position that is lower in seniority, they may allow you to proceed nonetheless.
It may be a separate application but that doesn’t mean they will ignore your senior analyst application when deciding. This approach only makes sense if they sent you a note asking you to apply for the more junior role.
Your best bet at this point is to reach out to HR and get a sense of why you were rejected and the best way to reapply. If for example there's not that much demand for consulting services (as we are seeing now) then hiring across the board is going to be a lot lower regardless of seniority.
