As with any job, there's salary bands for a certain role. Whether or not you're on the higher or lower end depends on a few variables e.g., educational and professional background, and also your ability to negotiate.
For example, when I joined McKinsey as an Associate with a top-tier MBA and 6+ years of high-quality experience in the O&G sector, I had a higher signing bonus and overall compensation package than some other Associates.

Base is always fixed based on the salary band for the role.
Their bonuses might differ based on their start date, performance, etc.

Hi there,
Salary baseline is the same by position (business analyst, associate, etc.) in each geography. There might be differences, especially in associate roles and above by their sign in bonus. Some people manage to negotiate relocation bonuses as well.
