Hi all

I am currently interviewing for RB and I wanted to know how good is the company in thier projects? Especially for Riyadh office because I am interviewing with them. I know that RB focuses mainly on strategy but I wanted to know how good are they compared to other firms in the region in terms of projects and clients.

Also, how good is their pay and what kind of compensation they offer for entry level positions? I am interviewing for the consulting analyst position (the entry level for RB) so I wish to know if the salary is competitive with other firms.

Last question, how frequent are the promotions in RB and in consulting careers in general? For example, how many years does it take to be a project manager?

Thank you all and I appreciate your inputs.

I have coached many candidates joining RB in Saudi/Dubai/AD so I can provide some insights into RB and their projects. RB has a solid track record and has worked with a range of prominent clients in various industries. However, it is important to note that the quality and scope of projects can vary across different offices and regions.

Regarding compensation, RB offers competitive salaries for entry-level positions such as the consulting analyst role. While I don't have specific information on the exact compensation package, RB generally provides a competitive remuneration package that aligns with industry standards.

Promotions in RB, as well as in consulting careers in general, are typically based on individual performance, demonstrated capabilities, and the needs of the firm. The timeline for promotions can vary depending on various factors, including the individual's performance, the complexity of projects, and the firm's internal policies. It is not uncommon for consultants to progress to the project manager level within a few years, but the exact timeline can vary based on individual circumstances.

Hi!

Lots of great questions.

Happy to take them one by one, but I'd strongly recommend you use these questions rather as a networking tool. Basically, identify current RB consultants in Riyadh who are at a similar seniority level as the one that you're going for. Not only will they give you a granular understanding of how this works for Riyadh, but they might even offer you a referral.

Here's how to do it:

From my perspective, RB is a great place to work at. Within ME, in some countries RB has even higher compensation that MBB. They're also growing a lot at the moment, especially in terms of digital - fyi, just recently coached a candidate who was transitioning from Big4 to RB within the region. Re promotions, they're a bit slower than MBB from what I know.

Good luck!
Cristian

Hi there,

First of all, if you're deciding whether you want to work for them or not…wait for the offer! You might decide you want them only to be rejected - focus on things that are actually in your control.

When/if you get the offer, reflect on whether it's right for you.

Also remember that interviews are not a one-way street: you can talk to the interviewer about the firm itself.

Finally, network! These questions are perfect for networking and much better explained via spoken, not written words.

Overall RB has competitive pricing but is not a top brand in the ME. Projects are going to depends specifically on region/office.

Hi,

For the salary data it's more efficient to use Glassdoor.

For promotions and other in-house issues it's more efficient to reach out to the company's employees directly.

Good luck!
Nick
