I am taking the McKinsey Solve game soon and wanted to know if anyone who took it recently can share which second game they got besides the first ecosystem game? I am aware that nothing can be 100% confirmed but does anyone know what are the chances I will get Redrock game over Plant defence? (I’m applying to Business Analyst in London)

Hi there,
It is extremely likely that you will get Redrock.
That said, plant defence (in my opinion) is pretty easy. If you play a simulation (from MConsultingPrep) just a few times you'll be able to pass it easily (it's literally just a tower defense game).
So, my advice is prepare heavily for Redrock (which is great prep anyway for the BCG Casey Chatbot and other online assessments), and just familiarize yourself with Redrock.

None of the users I helped with the game from March 2023 (several hundred) had Plant Defense as the second game – they all had Ecosystem + Redrock.

I haven't heard of anybody getting Plant Defence since the start of the year (and most of my candidates are applying and interviewing with McK).
So I'd say with 98-99% accuracy you're going to get RedRock.
Still, nothing is 100% certain.

Hi Ian, thank you very much for taking the time to answer! Very helpful response! Following on that, I actually have been running out of time quite often on redrock (I purchased the simulation) I barely have time to finish all of the 10 questions for the mini cases, fo you have any tips to manage time in this game? What would be an ideal time allocation between part 1 and part 2? Lastly, what type of math/ concepts/ general formulas do you think I need to be skilled in to move more swiftly along the second part? Thanks in advance!
