It depends on the region, role and time of year (sorry, I know you would've preferred an actual number here). The best way of finding out is to ask HR specifically in the region where you're applying.

3)  if they have contacted me, is there an assurance that I’ll go through each round and get an offer because “partner” has referred me ?

No, there's no guarantee, though it increases your chances significantly once again.

Hi there,

a referral considerably increases your chance for a first round interview - that's as far as it goes. The referral is stronger if it comes from someone with a high degree of seniority and an established tenure with the firm. So getting a referral from a partner is pretty much the best you can aim for. But even that will only get you a first round interview, just with a higher likelihood than getting a referral from, let's say, an entry level consultant.

So now that this has already happened for you, everything else will depend on your own interview performance going forward. The time from now until receiving a potential offer will definitely take several weeks and most likely 2-3 months. Given that we have almost end of year now, you can probably expect a longer timeframe since not much is happening in the second half of December at most firms.

Recruiting process at Big4's are not as structured as at MBB so don't expect a number here. Double check with your recruiting contact but get ready to be patient.

NO. You still need to pass through the interview process with several interviewers and the HR screening.

Depends on role. For external hire + higher level (Director) we're generally talking weeks to months

No. Partner just gets you into the interview. Then, YOU are in control of your fate.
