Hi All,
Do coaches usually charge their hourly rate for CV reviews or do they usually have a separate quote?
Hi there,
Q: Do coaches usually charge their hourly rate for CV reviews or do they usually have a separate quote?
It depends on the coach.
Personally I offer the CV session at 50% discount of the standard rate when it is 30min if you PM me first.
For general suggestions on the CV you can check this:
▶ How to Craft a Great CV for Consulting
The process I use during the session is the following:
All the steps are included in the initial booking, including the unlimited follow-ups.
If you prefer, we can also do a full session and work on the Cover Letter and all the steps needed to get referrals as well.
If you have additional questions please feel free to PM me.
Best,
Francesco
Hello,
This will depend on each coach individually. Many will have separate quotes, but do check out coach profiles and reach out via DM to confirm. Personally, I offer CV reviews at a 30% discount to my regular sessions - feel free to DM me if you would be interested in a CV review or have any further questions.
Hi there,
Most offer a discount! The reason being you do not need a full hour. Mine is discounted 30%
Personally, to maximize time I 1) Send you my course for free 2) Do an offline review + edits prior to the session 3) Do the live session and 4) Do final edits post session.

Hi there,
You can check this on the profile of each coach. Most coaches charge less for it than the session fee.
My recommendation would be to reach out to the coach and discuss this with them directly.
The way I do it is that I share with you a template and several examples of CVs that have already passed screening and which you can use as inspiration. Then we work back and forth with track changes until we have the ideal version - it usually takes 3-4 turns to get it right.
Other coaches might do it differently. For now, I've had no candidates who have failed to pass screening from their target firms with their revised CV.
I've also written more here about the importance of a polished CV:

The answer to this question lies with each coach. To be sure, examine the trainer's profile and get in touch with them via DM to verify whether or not they offer different quotations.
Hi there,
