Hi everyone, I've been invited to take the Bain online test - I tried searching online but there is a lack of clarity. Can someone please tell me the latest structure of the test and any sample tests to refer to? the type of questions, and the number of questions for each? I really want to clear the assessment and interview
Any indication would be beneficial.

First of all, you could ask them to clarify what kind of test they are going to give you, in order to plan your preparation.
In case you are not going to be able to get this information, know that normally MBB test have a mix of different questions:

The objective is to evaluate your skills while putting you under pressure with time management. Hence, you should not underestimate it. You can find abundant material online that you can use to practice and become more comfortable with the type of questions.

Think of it as a merge of a case and the GMAT/GRE.
You need to be clear on some key case-related and account formulas (margin, growth, breakeven, etc) as well as be good at critically understanding the question (including nuance to questions) and parsing through complicated text with a fair amount of distraction.
You'll also need to be good at chart/graph reading.
It's very similar to the (old) McKinsey PST, BCG Online Test, Bain SOVA test, etc. So leverage resources for them as well i.e.:

Based on my recent candidates who took the test you can expect it to be GMAT type question that are disguised as business situations.
McKinsey's PST (problem-solving test) used to be structured like this before they switched to the game. You can find plenty of examples for that one online (otherwise feel free to reach out and I can send a few).
Also, don't hesitate to reach out to HR and ask for more info about the structure of the test. It's totally ok to ask and it will enable you to calibrate your prep better.
