The answer to this question changes nothing (other than ego)! You need to perform well on this test to do the next round. The more you can train yourself to focus your time, mind, and energy on things that matter the better you will perform (in interviews, on the job, and in life!).

Answer: It honestly depends. In some instances the test is given to everyone. In others it is a sign of passing some form of initial screening.

In the past it’s been the case that you have to pass a resume screen to get sent the online game, but given that you received an invite so quickly, my best guess is that they sent it to everyone who applied. I have been hearing from a couple of other candidates that they got their Sova invites just a day or two after applying, so perhaps Bain is switching up the recruiting model in some offices along these lines.

For most geographies they basically invite everybody to the test as long as they had a complete application.

So don't read too much into this. 

They will basically assess whether or not to progress your application further once you've done the test.

Yes, you pass the resume screening phase!
