Hello,
I applied to the BA role as a recent grad on Friday. However, nearly 48 hours later, I still have not received an invite to the McKinsey solve game.
I applied to the London office and know of other friends who have received their invitation. The deadline is end of today (15th October) so I don't know why I still haven't received an invitation from the campus recruiting team.
I wanted to ask on thoughts and the time I should give before contacting the McKinsey team.

48hrs not always kept. Do not give up and if it doesn't work there are indeed other opportunities for you. Best of luck! Frederic

Don't read too much into it.
It can take even up to a couple of weeks to hear back on whether you've been invited for the test.
They usually scan your application quickly to see if everything is complete before sending out the invite. So they might have not gotten to your application just yet. Don't stress :)
Needless to say, continue applying in the meantime to diversify your risk. Here's how to put together an application strategy that does exactly that:

Some possible reasons are:
I would recommend waiting 1-2 weeks and reaching out to HR if you don’t hear from them after that.

Wait at least a week before contacting HR. Timelines are not always kept but I suggest you work on a broader application strategy including more consulting firms.

Thank you for confirming: I was thinking that I was the issue here since I applied before the deadline and completed all the relevant steps. So, it seems to be a wider problem that they'll probably come to sort out soon. - Anonymous A
Did you end up receiving an invite?
Hi Anonymous B, yes I received it in the end. The HR team apologised for the lateness and told us to complete it by the 20th of October. I emailed them and they were kind enough to understand the issue.
