In the phone interview, in explaining our structure should we list each and every pointer in our 3rd layer and y we included the same in the structure as the interviwere cannot see our sheet ? if we do that dont we run a risk of spending too much time in first question ?

Hi Ojasvi,
usually you present two levels in the structure, with some examples of a third if needed. The way to present is the following:
- STEP 1: mention first the macro areas of your framework. “In order to help our client, I would like to focus on three main areas. Number 1 we may work on [FIRST TOPIC], Number 2 on [SECOND TOPIC], Number 3 on [THIRD TOPIC]. If this is fine for you, let me go deeper in each of them”
- STEP 2: provide details for each macro point. “In area Number 1, this is what I would analyse. First, I would like to cover [FIRST STEP OF FIRST TOPIC]; second, I would like to focus on [SECOND STEP OF FIRST TOPIC]; next, I would like to work on [THIRD STEP OF FIRST TOPIC]. In area Number 2, this is what I would analyse. First,(…)”

Hi,
You structure should be exactly like your structure in a regular interview. Usually, you have two layers. Here is an example:
1) Present your 1st level:
- - "In order to understand whether we should invest in Company A, I would like to check that the Market is Attractive, the Company is Attractive, the competition is favorable and we have good opportunities for of exit"
2) Present your 2nd level:
- "In the market, I would like to look at market size and growth rate, segmentation, regulation and the key market trends
- In the company, I would like to look at A,B,C,D,E
- In competition, I would like to look at A,B,C,D
- Finally, in the exit opportunities, I would like to look at A,B,C,D,E

Hey Ojasvi,
If you have included it in your structure you need to let the interviewer know about them if you want him/her to consider them - otherwise, he/she will not be able to guess you have them there. Similarly, if you think they are not relevant to refer in a first stage, it's most likely because they shouldn't be in your framework in the first place
