Can somebody tell me the situation about this internship position from Taiwan ?

I just received an email before, and the email said that I'm a potential candidate working in McKinsey, what should I do after I apply to this position?

Thank you so much !

Hi there,

Note that the CCN team supports the consulting function but is not the consulting function. It supports new knowledge creation by gathering data and information, packaging it, building software, tracking results from implemented/ing projects, etc. It is not responsible for the creation of insights, strategy and recommendations for clients.

Therefore, I wouldn’t expect that that the recruitment process will be the same as becoming a consultant, for which most of this platofrm is dedicated to. What you should expect is highly dependent on which part of the CCN you’re joining. For example, a software engineer is going to have a different recruiting requirement to a procurement wizz.

I would recommend finding similar employees/roles on Fishbowl, Glassdoor, etc for insight on what to expect.

Good luck!
B.

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, unfortunately, the context of the e-mail is not entirely clear to me. However, you must have had some contact with McKinsey before, and they are encouraging you to apply, which is a positive sign.
  • Moreover, you should proceed by confirming your interest in the internship. Follow any instructions given in the e-mail regarding the next steps in the application process. This may include scheduling an interview or submitting additional documents.
  • Lastly, I would advise you to prepare thoroughly for the upcoming stages. Familiarize yourself with the specific requirements of the the role and the Taiwan office, and potentially brush up on your case interviewing skills.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there!

Sorry, but it's not super clear what the situation is.

So you've received an invite for an interview? Is that what the email says?

My recommendation would be to follow-up with the recruiter who sent the email and clarify. Hopefully, it's not spam.

Best,
Cristian
