Does anyone here have a software/site to prepare for Bain's SOVA test? If yes, then could you point me to it. Open to both paid/unpaid variants.

Bain SOVA Test
Overview of answers
Hi there,
Yes, there are a ton! My advice:
- Start with free (a ton out there)
- Look through preplougne Q&As (search on Bain/SOVA/assessment)
- Then go paid (I like MCP's)
Hi there,
I'd leverage the Q&A forum as much as I could if I were you. Lots of useful info to start from.
Then there are a few paid simulations of the test on this platform and also competitor platforms. Most of them are decent so don't overthink it.
Best of luck with the prep!
Cristian
Hello,
Also a quick note to say that the online tests for MBB all test similar capabilities, so you should feel free to leverage resources for McKinsey's PST or BCG's online assessment too!
Hi there,
First of all, congratulations on the invitation from Bain!
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:
- First of all, I would advise you to use PrepLounge's Consulting Q&A forum to find as much intel about the Bain SOVA pre-interview assessment as possible. Here, you will find a lot of firsthand experiences and insights from individuals who have previously taken the test.
- Moreover, PrepLounge and several other platforms provide paid simulations of the Bain SOVA test, which can give you a clear idea of what to expect and allow you to practice under test conditions. These simulations are created to mirror the real Bain SOVA pre-interview assessment and can help you to identify your strengths and areas for improvement.
- Lastly, apart from practicing with simulations, I would highly advise you to review basic business concepts, since the Bain SOVA test tends to evaluate your business acumen and problem-solving skills. Enhancing your speed reading skills may also prove beneficial as the test is time constrained.
