I did Solve 2 weeks ago and have not received a reply. I applied to the London office. They said I will hear back by the 1st November in the email where they gave me the link to Solve. Does that mean I won't get a result 2 weeks after Solve like most people?
Did McKinsey Solve 2 weeks ago - no reply

Hi there,
Ultimately, you/we don't know. and, you won't know until you do! Meaning, network with and apply to LOTS of other firms.
The more opportunities you have elsewhere, the less you'll wring your hands over this one!
Here's some reading to help you succeed in this:

Hi there,
Be a little patient here! Wait until November 1st. If 2-3 days after that day you haven’t hear anything back from recruiters, kindly follow up with your recruiting contact.
In parallel, I suggest that you
- Develop a wider application strategy considering other firms
- Focus on your fit and case interview preparation
Good luck!
Alberto

Hi there,
Not sure what exactly your question is and what you think is the case for ‘most people’.
PROBLEM: Generally speaking, indications like these e.g., ‘by date x’ or ‘in x weeks time’ are estimations and not promises. No point in trying to figure out what exactly is going on internally and whether not hearing anything in the time you expected means anything.
MY ADVICE: Assume you're going to get invited so get started (if you haven't already done so) with your McKinsey specific case & PEI prep! Invitations come suddenly and often with limited lead time, leaving you little room to prepare if you start from 0. You will want to be about 80% ready by the time the invitation comes.
Since it is McKinsey you're preparing for, check out my profile below and get in touch if you'd like to talk about potential support for the final stretch!
Best of luck!
Moritz

“Most people” is a general statement. It is very frequent to have to wait 3-4 weeks to get a response. This is normal!

Hi there,
Q: Does that mean I won't get a result 2 weeks after Solve like most people?
If they set the deadline as November 1st, they should reach out by then.
The response time is not necessarily correlated with the performance - I helped candidates who had to wait almost two months for an answer and passed.
Good luck!
Francesco

This is indeed longer than the typical timeframe but I wouldn't read too much into it.
I would suggest you follow-up with them and ask for an update. But it could also just be that HR is swamped at the moment with processing the backlog of applications from this autumn.
Best,
Cristian
