Hi,

I've been considering applying for consulting and strategy roles at Accenture and saw that fluency in Arabic seems to be a must have condition for most roles based out of Dubai and Saudi.

Has anyone had any experience in recruitment at Accenture in the MENA region? How stringent are the language requirements?

Thanks!

Hi there,

I agree with the other coaches - this is an odd requirement that I have not seen before.

100% double-check with the recruiter (and networking with the office). This is a great excuse to message some people and get your name out there!

I've known multiple people who worked for MBB and Tier 2 consulting firms at their respective Dubai offices and they did not speak Arabic. All business was done in English.

Not sure if Accenture is generally different from that or if they are maybe trying to specifically build up Arabic profiency at their offices in the region

This sounds very strange and I havent come across this hard requirement. Where did you see the language requirement..in the job description?

English is absolutely fine, unless the role specifically targets a local industry/local pool of clients.

Worth emailing the recuiter to be 100% sure.
