Notiz für den Interviewer
The candidate should recognize that, in order to complete the case, we still need to look at the 2nd largest cause of food waste: consumption.
The candidate should ask if we understand the major causes of consumption waste and if we have identified any potential initiatives to reduce this waste.
Ask them where they think this waste occurs. They should recognize that this means what types of countries, in relation to Part 2. It is important to repeat “where” if they try to answer a different question – this is testing their comprehension, listening, and adaptability.
The candidate should understand this and identify the developed world as the largest source of consumption waste. Ask them for their reasoning (any logical response will suffice).
After identifying this, the candidate should ask for any initiatives to reduce the rate. Verbally provide them with the following information:
“We believe that, with a series of information campaigns as well as incentives to reduce waste, we can significantly bring down consumption waste in the developed world. We think that our initiatives can reduce consumption waste in lower-income households by 10%, in middle-income households by 40%, and in upper-income households by 50%”
