are the consultants who are assigned to do a practice case with us allowed to send the practice case material after the call so we can go through the solution? Also where do these consultants get the practice cases from? I thought the internal case portal was only accessible to interviewers?

MBB Coaching call practice case
Overview of answers
Nope or else practice cases would start floating around the public domain. They are retired cases that recruiting will give out just for coaching.
Hello,
They can't send out this material (because they'll be using it with more than one candidate), but I definitely second Ian's advice about taking detailed notes during the case and writing down everything you can remember afterwards, to have it for your reference. I believe the cases they use in practice are old interview cases, or cases specifically designed by MBB for these practice calls that are not used in real rounds.
Hey there,
Depends on the office and firm. Some firms have one practice case that is always the same for a given geography and exhibits are sent out. They are usually not using their own cases (which are indeed for their own use only)
It does not matter if it leaks since it's not different than publishing practice cases on the website (which all MBB do).
Cheers,
Florian
Hi there,
They are not allowed to unfortunately! If I were you, I would make sure to take full notes during the case and spend 30-60 minutes after the case writing everything down so as to best remember and look back on it!
