MD applicant here from a top 20 U.S medical school applying to management consulting full-time positions for 2024. So far, Bain basically had no ADC headcount for FT this year (rejected all waitlisted Bain Advantage applicants by telling them there is no headcount remaining), and McKinsey just recently rejected all the MDs applicants (~8) that I am acquainted with for FT. Word I heard from McKinsey MD consultants I know personally is that they overhired in the past and now most offices are saturated with MDs. Just wanted to ask anyone involved in BCG or have any information whether BCG might hire MDs this year and whether their offices are as saturated as McK with MDs. Thanks!
Is BCG North America still hiring MDs this year through full-time?

Hello,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I also think networking is the way to go here, because hiring tends to be office- and practice-dependent. Talk to people in the office and ask them what hiring for MDs looks like right now.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about this.
It's indeed a rather difficult time for hiring.
It would be difficult to know the situation for BCG unless you are referring to a specific office. Hiring needs tend to reflect the demand in that particular geography.
My recommendation would be to try and network with BCG consultants that have recently joined (<6 months) and who ideally also come from an MD background and just ask them directly. Most people are happy to help and contribute. You can use the following guide for the discussion:

Hi there,
It's a tough market right now. At the moment I have not heard of them hiring MDs, and my understanding from contacts is that they are not. However, that doesn't mean 100% they are not (there are still office specifics, etc.). I highly recommend you get networking with your main offices of choice to see if there is still a chance with them specifically (worst case scenario you lin eup good contacts for next year)
