Get into consulting with BBC at A-level?

To work in MBB consulting (or even Tier 2), the minimum requirement is an undergraduate or tertiary degree for the most junior position which would be an internship position.

I'm really not sure how you would have “already [had] experience at the like of McKinsey and OW” - you could have been potentially hired as a support staff or a temporary business support team (e.g. admin), but you would not have been given a role in the consulting facing team.

Relevancy and recency are how firms assess these credentials. Therefore, since firms are looking at your tertiary degree, if you are on track to a good grade (e.g. First Class Honours), or you have a high GPA, they would care about this and the branding of your school much more than your A levels.

• In the same line, this is how people with ‘non-target’ or ‘poor’ undergraduate grades still get a role in MBB because they managed to get themselves into a top MBA program (and the MBA trumps the undergraduate in terms of recency)
