I am very focused on the classic case study approach which I learned as an MBA student at Columbia. These cases are selected based on your level of experience and background. For every case study a 20 minute debrief is usually needed to fully analyze your performance and jointly decide which areas to focus on during your next practice session. In addition to traditional cases, I am well versed in preparing individuals for the fit components of the interview process which are often under appreciated by applicants. For these sessions a role playing session is usually best to develop stories together which can answer a range of standard questions.
As I am a scientist myself, I have worked extensively with applicants from STEM backgrounds to help them understand business fundamentals and help them avoid some of the most common traps for those making a career transition into consulting.
At PwC and Arthur D. Little, I regularly interviewed applicants from both traditional and non-traditional backgrounds. This has provided me with first-hand experience as to what pure strategy houses and Big 4 firms are looking for regardless of their previous experience.
