I plan to structure my 1h sessions into 2 key parts:
Soft skills (25min)
- Resume review: CV structure and content clarity (e.g., are your accomplishments crisp and quantified)
- Storyline and mindset: challenge your motivations, aspiration, strengths, weaknesses as a management consulting candidate. I will provide coaching on career orientation, differentiation and positioning
- Bullet-proof fit: usual and unusual fit and profile questions in order to be prepared for anything and stand-out
Hard skills (35min):
- Practical and challenging case: based on leading material, personal experience and library of latest cases
- “Mentalist” debrief feedback: I will dive into your problem solving skills and thinking patterns (e.g., lack of MECE, framework over-reliance, mental biases, lack of perspective, lack of agility)
- Situational advice (optional): Learn how to be effective form case 1, day 1 and ask best questions to interviewer (e.g., Do's/Don'ts, lay out your hypotheses, work with design/ translation services, interview senior experts, leverage digital tools to map analytics to slides, client agile co-creation, etc.)
