Hey all,

Slightly over a year ago I applied to BCG and completed the Pymetrics, I got interviews but then was unsuccessful at the interviews. I am applying for full-time as I've evolved from last year and I was given the option to resubmit my results or play a new round. What would you do in this case?

Thanks!

Hi there,

The safest road seems to be resubmitting last year's result as it gave you access to the interview. If you feel (or tried to simulate the test now) you would do much better this year you can try it...  but overall this test is just to automatically screen the candidate and quickly eliminate those not fitting. Once you pass, interviews are the most important criteria, the result of the test won't be likely taken into account.

If you still have doubt, you can reach out to HR and ask for the result of your test last year and try to ask if they would tell you what is max/pass goal was. You can then decide if to retake it - only in case you were just slightly above the last year's mark and may not pass if the mark would change this year.

Good luck!
Lucie

Hi there,

Given you got an interview with those results I would probably resubmit the results.

You're presumably a stronger candidate than last year (hopefully some more work experience) so I *think* you should be safe here.

However, if you're confident you can do better this time around you should re-take it!

Looks like your Pymetrics result was enough to get you an interview. In general, it should be enough to get you the interview again - unless somehow you believe your result was low and your resume got worse. Otherwise, I would focus on the case preparation.
