Anyone that has engaged a coach (or the coaches themselved), how many sessions do you usually need to get from scratch if you don't have business background?
I understand that the answers would depend on many factors, but the variables in play here are: 0 business background, 0 case experience and 4 hours time daily for two weeks or so.
I'm specifically asking for candidates who have been invited for the interviews in a week or two.
2 weeks is an extremely extremely ambitious timeline to hit considering zero business background and zero casing experience. Casing is more a game of practice than knowledge. Happy to discuss your targets and path forward - let me know.

You can ask 1 candidate for 1 experience or a coach for all situations they've seen!
In my experience 2 weeks is extremely tough, BUT doable. Past candidates I've had have required anywhere from 4 to 6 sessions to stand a chance at passing the interview with 2 weeks of prep.

Agree with Ian. Two weeks with just 4 hours a day and starting from scratch is tricky.
I recently had a successful candidate who did the same within one week with daily sessions + full-time prep on drills and cases with other people on PrepLounge in-between the session. The difference, however, was that he had a business background and picked up the pace quickly.
From an outside perspective with no other data points, it is actually quite tricky to say how well you would do in 2 weeks. Usually, you would need one diagnostic and learning session to get on the right track and then a second session to see how quickly a candidate is picking up your approach.

I agree with other experts here that 2 weeks with no prior experience is pretty tough but doable. To best assess how much preparation you would need and what to focus on, it is best to have an initial conversation with a coach so that they can gage where you are at and what you need the most help with. Case interviews and fit interviews have very specific formats which some people adapt to more readily than others so it's difficult to say exactly how much work you would need without talking to you first.
