I'm planning to apply to MBB and other consulting firms soon and was wondering if the interviews will still be conducted virtually or in-person in early 2022 (not sure which month as it depends on how fast they get back to me)? I'm based in APAC and was just wondering about this since interviews are currently conducted online

This is difficult to predict, most likely it will still be virtual, but it also depends on each individual country and their situation with COVID.

The current state of things is virtual. Will that change in early 2022? Unlikely, but as we know from covid things change quickly.
What should you do? Stay flexible and be mentally prepared for both!

Unfortunately, it is still very hard to predict. I believe most companies will keep conducting interviews online.

This is a bit of guesswork, as it depends on the pandemic situation. But I would guess that first rounds may still be conducted remotely, at least for candidates that would need to travel for the interview.
