I prepped a lot for my case interviews back in 2018, here on prep-lounge. It took me 25 cases to realise that we weren't being given the full story - you need a method that can work for anything, and the books I was reading didn't have that, they had lists of things I should remember. That isn't what I thought my interviewers would be looking for.
No consultant is impressed by a framework wheeled out by a candidate, especially when it's misapplied (as it usually is, in the heat of the moment). You're being assessed on your ability to think like a consultant, not your ability to regurgitate a framework.
