Mckinsey Solve Score

I recently received a McKinsey Solve score of 524 but don't know my percentile score. Does anyone know if this is a good score?

Hi there!

Congrats on doing the test!

The score in and of itself doesn't mean much. It's almost always judged together with the rest of your application and this is how they then make a decision as to invite you or not to the first interview round.

So depending on the office and the role, the ‘cutoff’ point differs.

Best,
Cristian

Hi there,

To be honest it depends…

But, ultimately, no answer here will really provide what you're looking for (i.e. whether you'll get an interview or not).

This is based off of overall profile, strength of resume, referral strength, office dynamics, etc.

Sit tight. Hope for the best (case prep) and plan for the worst (apply to other firms)

You can request the percentile score to HR and they should be able to provide it to you.

Good luck!

Hi there,

Congratulations on being invited to the recruiting process and completing the test!

Be ready to only get a go / no-go answer to start the interview process. The detailed information of your interview process (ratings, percentiles, interview notes, etc.) is not typically disclosed until you reach certain tenure within McKinsey (normally partner).

Good luck with your process!

Hello there!

Firstly, congratulations on completing the McKinsey Solve test.

In isolation, your score of 524 doesn't provide a comprehensive picture of your application's competitiveness, as McKinsey evaluates candidates holistically, considering various factors in addition to the test score. The decision to invite you to the first interview round depends on how your overall application compares with others, and this threshold can vary based on the specific office and role you're applying for.

Warm regards, Frederic

It’s definitely a good score. Did you get the Redrock study OP?
