Bain SOVA test

Question

Hi there, I have received an invitation to do an online assessment for Bain. I have been looking at other resources online but I see most of them say while it isn't timed, aim to complete in around 75 minutes. In my email from Bain they say I will need approximately 40 mins. They also note the first part of the assessment is a personality questionnaire and the second part is about numerical and logical reasoning. Does this mean that the video interview part won't be included? And also maybe not the verbal reasoning part?

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from Bain!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your questions:

First of all, and contrary to what other coaches have said, based on the experience of my coaches, there has never been a video interview section in Bain's Sova pre-interview assessment. It seems to consist of four sections: numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, logical reasoning, and a personality test.
Moreover, some offices seem to skip the verbal reasoning section, although I do not know why.
Lastly, please keep in mind that the time indicated by Bain is unrealistic, as the personality test alone seems to typically take about 25-30 minutes.

It will be good to confirm directly with the recruiter, but it does look like the video interview isn't going to be part of the assessment now and that you'll be doing the Personality Questionnaire (1st part) and Numerical/Logical reasoning (2nd part)
