Applying for McKinsey London or LA

Hello,

I have dual US/ UK citizenship and currently live in London. Have made contact and been given the option of a partner referral in both McKinsey London and LA - I am keen to move to the US so thinking I should apply directly to the LA office but does anyone have any insight into what would be a better choice? Are you able to apply to two offices?

Would all interviews be remote if for the LA office?

Also, would mck help with my spouse’s visa at all?

I have about 8 years of experience including 4 years in management consulting so thinking of coming in at associate level. Thoughts on that as well?

Hi there,

Given your background and motivation, I'd definitely apply for the LA office.
You would usually need to state a preference and would likely be interviewed by the US office.
Interviews are virtual.
If they want you to relocate, visa help should be offered I believe.
It depends on how much leadership experience you have. If you led significant projects and larger teams, I could see you come in at EM level.
