Methodology
Management consulting is a dream job for many students, but a majority of them do not know how to prepare for it.
The recruitment process for the most renowned consulting firms (McKinsey, BCG, Bain & Co, Roland Berger, Oliver Wyman, etc.) is highly selective and only a small minority of candidates receives a job offer following the numerous rounds of interviews (5-10% of candidates on average). Serious preparation is therefore essential to achieve the expected level in interviews.
To this end, I will help you to:
- Drill deep in case interviews to identify your strengths and weaknesses and outline a clear improvement plan to quickly reach peak performance
- Better understand the daily life of a consultant (to go beyond the slick speeches of recruiters) and its challenges
- Prepare your application strategy in advance (where to apply, when, how...)
- Prepare your CV and cover letter to pass screenings
- Prepare for the various tests and interviews (quantitative tests, fit, motivation, case studies)
- Refine your story and gain confidence in interviews
My background
I am an ESCP Europe Graduate with 5+ years of experience, half of which at BCG and the other half in Private Equity (at a prominent family office).
I applied and then went through the recruitment process of most management consulting firms in Paris before joining BCG as an Associate. I was promoted to Consultant at BCG after 2 years (accelerated timing following excellent performance reviews) before joining a Private Equity fund composed exclusively of former top consultants (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.).
I went through dozens of interviews before joining BCG. In the process, I secured many job offers from BCG, Rocket Internet, Uber, Nomura and P&G. I have conducted over a hundred interviews in my current PE job on the exact same criteria used in strategy consulting.
I now help ambitious candidates prepare for their application and interviews with the top tier consulting firms, so that they stand out from other candidates in this extremely competitive process.
I can also share my experience on the best way to break into Private Equity, an exciting but very selective profession (arguably more than consulting) which has its own high barriers to entry.
Coaching sessions
At the beginning of our session, we will take a few minutes to understand your personal objectives and then tailor the session plan to achieve them.
