Hi Friends. I have received an offer from bcg in their expert track (associate director level). Given all the uncertainty around economy, is there a risk that my offer maybe rescinded? My role was for specific area and they really did everything to hire me in the first place..

Hi there,

Don't worry, you should be just fine.

Last time around (covid) they pushed back starting dates but almost never rescinded offers.

That said, the earlier your start date the better.

Hi there,

I am also on expert track at BCG and if you are given the offer it is unlikely it will rescinded. Why do you think it may happen?

Thanks Lucie for the answer. I am just concerned about the economic environment. Looking at news everyday, it seems that lot of people are getting fired plus offers for fresh graduates being rescinded. I am not sure how firms like BCG do in such an environment and how they look at expert track internally in such economic situations..

Hello!

I have seen this happening lately more than what I would have expected.

however, in a firm with the size and as global as BCG, I would be very very surprised. In any case, I think it´s a legit concern and I would flag it to them -they will be very willing to speak to you about the offer once they have extended it, you will see.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara
