Two internships back to back

That's a great achievement! Congrats! :-)

I'd go with both internships for three reasons:

1. You might get a backup offer already at the tier-2 which puts you at ease and makes you more relaxed for MBB.
2. You learn some valuable lessons before starting at MBB (which increases the expectations a bit for your MBB team and leadership btw.).
3. You are able to compare both and gain some valuable insights into different ways of working.

All three benefit you, the first two help you with getting a return offer with MBB.

After both internships take an extended break and travel (or do what you are passionate about), then accept the full-time offer.

Other than time/energy I don't see any reason to not take both (if legally allowed…that's on you to check). Congrats!

That is so much working, you’ll be exhausted! You want to go into MBB firing on all cylinders - my advice if you can afford it would be to just do MBB and enjoy having a summer before that! 

Congrats on both offers.

It sounds like it's possible logistically since you don't really have an overlap. With 2 months already under your belt, you'll likely be able to hit the ground running when starting your MBB stint.

It definitely makes sense if your goal is to maximize your chances of getting a return offer. After 5 months of interning you will also know if the work-life balance of consulting is the right fit for you.

So overall a good opportunity to test out various aspects before committing to a full-time engagement 

Your goal should be to get hired permanently in a MBB.
If you test yourself and learn as much as possible in Tier-2 BEFORE MBB, it is perfect.

Absolutely, you should go for both. If you manage to get 2 full time offers then you can negotiate a bit with your preferred company on salary, starting date, geography, etc.

Hi there,

The more experience, the better. As long as you are not replacing your MBB internship with the Tier 2 one, you're for sure accumulating more experience which is helpful as you apply for full time jobs.

I don't see a reason not to do it. 

• You get a chance to have an offer to go to the Tier2 in case you don't get the MBB offer
• You gain valuable experience that will help you hit the ground running when you start at MBB, so you increase your chances of getting an offer there

The only downside is that you should have a short break between the two interships so you have time to recover completely and start fresh!
