Glad that you recognized the importance of PEI - very often I need to remind my coachee that PEI and case is 50/50 for top firms like MBB. 

The devil is in nuances - once I had one candidate discussing a challenging situation, it was indeed challenging, but how it was handled raised red flag that the candidate was not a good fit for the firm's culture. 

It would indeed be helpful to calibrate with some previous interviewers after your practices with partners. Happy to discuss through a free 15min call if helpful.
