What do I need to take note of? What industries were they on? was the test similar to the sample test that was sent to you

Have you asked which of their tests they are going to give you?

Usually, they give their candidates either a maths and logic test or a guided business case. For the first type, I recommend preparing with SHL-like questions as BCG actually uses SHL for its test. For the second type, standard business case preparation with a focus on maths is the best preparation.
