Hello, I completed R2 NY EH for BCG on Friday May 2. I still haven’t heard back yet (Tuesday)… I am losing hope, since I thought offers usually came within 2 business days. Can anyone provide context? Should I reach out to the recruiter — they usually still call for rejection, right?
BCG R2 - Waiting Time

They’ll call you as soon as they’ve made a decision. Chances are, your interviewers just haven’t found time to meet and finalize the call.
It’s totally fine to follow up with the recruiter every 7–10 days. That shows interest—not pressure.

Hi there!
Actually they typically call between 1 to 2 weeks, although there are cases of a waiting period of more than a month.
Don’t worry, HR will always get back, no matter the outcome.
Let’s hope it’s a positive one, good luck! 😊
Best,
Mari

Hello!
It's totally normal to get nervous while waiting, but a couple of days' delay—especially on weekends—doesn't always mean bad news. BCG sometimes takes a couple of business days to get their internal machinery aligned, especially after final rounds. They do normally call with both offers and rejections, though, so persevere. If you haven't heard anything by mid-week, it's perfectly okay to send a friendly follow-up to your recruiter.
Happy to help you if case prep or additional steps if useful!
Best,
Alessa

Don't lose hope.
Sometimes it just takes a lot time until they answer.
It doens't mean that you failed.
If you're anxious, try to put that energy into something else, like exploring roles with other firms or practicing for interviews.
Hope you get good news soon!
Cristian

Hi there,
Q: Can anyone provide context? Should I reach out to the recruiter — they usually still call for rejection, right?
In most cases, you hear back within one week of the final interview, regardless of the outcome. Although it is true that hearing back sooner is often a good sign, I know of cases where the candidate received feedback after one week and still got the offer.
If you don’t hear back within one week of the interview date, it is fine to follow up with HR.
Good luck!
Francesco

Hey there,
Whether you lose hope or not, you will still eventually get feedback on the next steps / outcome from your interviews... So don't lose hope... it doesn't help... But rather follow up every week / two weeks until you eventually get the feedback.
Sadly, recruiting communications do sometimes take a while and this is not uncommon (although still unsettling).
Wishing you all the best, but hang in there in the mean time!
