Welcome! I’m Asha, a former McKinsey consultant and case coach. Prior to McKinsey I was also a peer coach at the London Business School, helping many classmates achieve their MBB dreams.
I've worked with over 100 candidates since 2019, always looking forward to welcoming them to the Firm after their acceptance. My feedback style is direct and aligned with McKinsey's philosophy of strength-based development.
I didn’t come from a traditional background – my undergrad was in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and I had worked for engineering firms my whole life. However, during my MBA, I discovered consulting and wanted to give it a try. I interned at McKinsey and was able to convert it to a full-time offer. I realized that anyone, from any background, can break into consulting at a top firm with a little bit of work.
I spent two years at McKinsey Dubai still using my tech background. I realized that having a “nontraditional” background was an asset, not a hinderance, at McKinsey. I added to my tech knowledge a solid consulting toolkit and enjoyed building some of the world’s most ambitious projects. I’m passionate about helping others from diverse backgrounds break into McKinsey and spent a lot of time coaching interview candidates and giving tailored feedback.
