Case interviews can at first appear daunting and challenging - at least that’s how I felt when first encountering them a number of years ago. With the right mindset and approach though, together we can turn this experience into one that is fun, relaxed, and brings out the best of you as you land the offers that you’re after.
My approach is grounded in my experience as an interviewer, and covers all of the case interview assessment dimensions - including those which are often overlooked by candidates. Here is my commitment to you:
1. We will tailor our coaching session to your individual ambitions and needs
Everyone has unique ambitions, and approaches these sessions with different strengths and from different levels of experience / practice. It’s important to unpack this before diving into practice cases, and depending on your preferences, we can (partly) cover this by email to get the most out of our time together.
2. We will practice the ‘hard’ skills with a real case interview used with BCG candidates
Successfully solving your cases will rely on developing a flexible approach that can be replicated in any setting. We will practice one of my actual cases that I used to interview candidates, which is also based on a real client project. Here we will cover things such as structure, leading your interviews, and how to take short-cuts which both impress your interviewer and save you time and effort.
3. We will prepare your ‘personal fit’ profile with actual interview questions
We will discuss how to prepare examples / recount experiences which clearly demonstrate your strengths against the interview assessment criteria. We can practise with a real interview question bank, and help prepare you for any question category that comes your way.
4. We will cover the remaining ‘soft’ skills which are often overlooked by candidates
In my experience in interviews, candidates underestimate the importance of things such as presence, active listening, body language etc. I will bring these to life with insights from the candidate discussions that take place after interviews with the recruiting team, and we will discuss easy steps that you can take to shine on these dimensions.
