Hi everyone! I’ve been invited to Bain’s TIG consultant interview, and the first round includes 1 business case interview and 1 TIG case interview.
I’m trying to understand what the TIG case interview is actually like. Is it still mostly a strategy/case interview with a tech context, or is it meaningfully more technical?
A few things I’d love clarity on:
- How technical do they expect you to be?
- What level of technical understanding is needed for a non-engineer?
- Do they test knowledge of topics like architecture, data, AI, product, or implementation details?
- How is it different from a standard Bain case?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through it or knows what Bain is looking for. Thanks!
