Hi,
My name is Amrita and I got an invite for an interview from TTE Strategy, Germany. But before the virtual interview, I am asked to solve a 40 minute minutes test. In this test I'm expected to face numerical tests and two video questions. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to best approach this test.
This is the first postive response I have received and I have very recently started my job application process so I don't have much of interview experience. Thank you.

Sure - reach out and I'm happy to share a couple of examples.
Regarding the numerical tests, you can also find examples online, mostly around numerical reasoning (testing your ability to work with numbers, prioritise, interpret exhibits, etc.).
Still, it would make sense to ask the recruiter / HR if they could share with you a sample test or any additional information as to what you can expect in terms of the format. This is particularly important for the video questions, which are likely to be fit-based but could also be case-based, which is once again critical for you to understand it from HR in order to prepare accordingly.

that is a nice start to your application process. Make sure you take the online test seriously as it has the potential to eliminate a candidate from the process if the score is not high enough.
Many consulting firms use online tests as a first step. Search online for test examples from Bain, BCG, Roland Berger, etc. These companies will typically also share some sample questions with you so you have a general idea of the format to expect. Especially for the video questions, you might want to follow up with TTE recruiting to get a bit of input on what is expected (if you haven't already done so). Also make sure to practice your mental math.

I highly recommend you use the practice tests from other firms with similar tests (Bain SOVA, BCG Casey Chatbot, the Old McKinsey PST), etc. These will help immensely!
