Consulting CV

I have applied to some position in Consulting firm & I forgot to mention state/ city of job roles in work exp section of my CV . Can I ask for updation of my CV or its a minute issue as   recruiters only look for company name( in this case is  one of the top firm ) , responsibility achievement & date of employment.

Hello!

Don´t worry about it. As long as you mentioned the country, that is fine (and the common thing).

If you believe that for some reason the city is important, you can always be in touch with HR and send the new version, mentioning that you have added further detail, that won´t harm either.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara

If you have mentioned the country you should be fine, however if you have not mentioned it I would contact HR and ask if you could send an updated version.

Hope this helps,

Francesco

Hi there,

If you've listed the country but not the state/city, I don't think this is anything that needs updating. Update it on your resume now, but if you've already submitted it, there's no need to try to update it for this given application.

Yes, you can ask for an update, but I don't think it is necessary, as the key information (company and country) is there. I would leave it as it is.

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on applying!

This is indeed an interesting question which is probably relevant for quite a lot of users, so I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

  • I would advise you to leave it as it is - even if you might find a spelling mistake.
  • The reason is simple: Coming off like someone who did not double-check the application files and asking for an update is most likely worse than having a spelling mistake on your resume. In the end, you do not know whether the recruiter would make a not on this or not.

In case you want a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare your upcoming case interviews, please feel free to contact me directly.

I hope this helps,

Hagen

Leave it. Too trivial to worry about it.

All the best.
