BCG online application rejected - can I go through with a referral?

Hi,

I unfortunately messed up my BCG online application and applied to an office which had language requirements I did not fit - whoops.

I am able to get a referral, but would I be able to get an interview if my application has been rejected?

you should be able. Always good to connect with HR to explain your situation plus your reference person should explain your previous rejection reason when gets the questionnaire to be filled about you.

Good luck!

Hi there,

It's definitely worth a shot, especially if the reason why you got rejected has nothing to do with your actual skills / experience, but rather with a lack of fit in terms of language requirements. Just make sure you let your referee know about it so they communicate to HR - then it shouldn't be a problem.

Best,

Cristian

Hi,

If it is just based on language requirements then very likely you will be okay if you get a referral (ideally from a partner). However you will need the person referring you to know this information as it does impact how HR evaluates you.

Hi there,

I'm a bit confused, did they already reject your application?

This isn't great but you might be able to recover. Explain this to the person who is offering to refer you. Ask them if they can get you in touch with HR.

It's possible they'll make an exception here given the circumstance but you need to talk to them!
