Rejected by Bain without a test?

Hey guys, I was hoping for some clarity on why I was rejected by Bain without even being invited for a test.

I applied for an AC role for the MENA offices, and for context, I'm a first class honors student, recent grad, have 1.5 years experience at a reputable consulting firm, consulting internship experience, entrepreneurship experience etc. etc. Also my CV/ cover letter/ transcripts have been checked over multiple times by recruiters and coaches.

I can't imagine I was rejected for my credentials or background (I speak Arabic fluently but work overseas and am non-GCC), so would anyone know why I was rejected? Is there any way I can reverse their decision?

Maybe worth mentioning I applied to Bain around 2 years ago and got rejected after doing the tests. This time however I applied using a different email address.

Hi,

An automatic screen-out usually happens when the profile is not solid enough, which does not seem to be your case here. A few things that might have happened instead:

Still flagged from your past application. If it is closer to one year than two, this is a real possibility, especially as reapplying under a different email does not create a separate record.
No openings, or constraints on the profile they can take right now. Depending on the office and the current context in the region, intake can be paused or very limited (work authorization can also come into it).
A simple mistake, which is unlikely but might happen.

In any case, the only people who can actually tell you what happened are the recruiting team, so I would encourage you to write to them as soon as possible and ask directly.
