How do consulting companies react on multiple workshop applications?

Hello everyone,

can you tell me your experience on how consulting firms react to multiple workshop applications?

I applied to a workshop abroad and later I got the information that a different workshop is going to be in my hometown.

In addition I know, that the competition for the workshop abroad is much bigger than the other one.

Does it provide an advantage to apply for both or will the second application have a negative effect on the first?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

To my knowledge, workshops are organized at a country/office level independently. Worst case scenario, you could always justify your double application simply by pointing to the fact that it is logistically more convenient for yout to attend in your city.
That’s why I would recommend you to apply to the one held in your hometown as well.

Good luck,
Jacopo

Hi Jacopo, thank you very much for your answer. Do you think it makes sense to mention the convenience at the beginning, or only if I get asked why I applied for both?

Hi Thomas, I would say I would not mention it. Why don't you private message me with the name of the firm organizing the workshop so I can make a more educated recommendation?
