Case interview help "walk me through the first few weeks of the case"

I have a case interview in a few days and the recruiter told me that I will be required to " walk the interviewer through the first few weeks of the case". That is the only information that was provided, so does anybody have any example cases or advice for me regarding this information?

Hi Klay,

Well, first think of it as a normal case. You will still need to hear the case prompt, clarify the case questions and create a framework to tackle the case. Then, based on the framework you created, simply do a few more things:

  • Prioritization: which of these areas (in your framework) would you like to investigate first (i.e. more important)? Which one have to be investigated first?
  • Time Allocation: since you have a few weeks, how would you allocate these few weeks to the different issues you would like to investigate? How much time would each issue require?
  • Resource Allocation: think about the budget and human capital you have, how would you allocate them? For example, how many people will be required to do a certain job?

Basically, it is the same as doing a normal case interview, but now beyond theoretically creating a framework and be done with it, you also have to consider the actual execution.
