Hi how soon does BCG get back to candidates after the first round interviews? When I did my two first round interviews a week ago they said they’d get back to me via call by Friday that week after the meeting they have to decide on the next steps. Still not heard from them today. Anyone have a clue as to what’s happening?

They usually get back to you whenever they tell you. Unfortunately, cases like this get flagged from time to time in this forum. Doesn't mean anything particularly good or bad, it just means they didn't stick to their self-imposed deadline, which is tough on the candidates.

Do you have a direct HR contact? Nothing wrong with sending a friendly email to ask about “next steps” in the process (as opposed to being demanding).

Hope you'll hear back soon! Best of luck!

Hi there,

Deep breaths! This thing take time. Answers rarely come sooner than they say they will but often come far later.

Wait another week before reaching out to followup.

Fingers crossed for you!

Hello!

I know you are biting all your nails now, totally understand! However, no need for that, it doesn´t mean anything. People need to meet and debrief, and sometimes agendas are just impossible to coordinate.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara

Hi there,

the delay is usually if you have more interviewers, but after the 1st round you should hear fairly quickly. If you didn't, it doesnt mean you did well or poorly, it is more organization delay.

It is absolutely OK to reach out to HR and ask for estimated timeline.

All the best,

Lucie

Just means the interviewers haven't connected to make the final decision. Means absolutely nothing other than that a decision wasn't made yet.

Hi there.

I won't read into this situation too much. Could be they just haven't been able to schedule a meeting to discuss your performance.

If I were you, I would wait until end of this week and if still nothing, politely send an email to HR to follow up.

Hope this helps!

Don't overthink it and just write a quick follow-up email to your HR contact.
