After my master studies i made some internships during which i learnt that i should frequently inform my supervisors on my progress to make sure we are on the same page. This learning was very useful for my PhD as I would frequently communicate my progress to my supervisor proactively even with mails between meetings which he found very professional. 

I learned how to perform literature review when working as a PhD researcher. This has helped me as a columnist in a radio where I was volunteer
