I am interviewing for research/knowledge analsyt roles at Mck and BCG. It's capabilities and Insights for Mck. At both firms, i was told i would go through 6 case interviews and PEI and isnt' going to be different than the normal format for the full consulting track. Why is this? I am not interviewing for a traditional consulting role. Why put me through the same interview process. Isn't there supposed to be a different format where they test niche skills because it is a capabilities/insights analyst or research/knowledge analyst role.
Really confused. I Didn't expect to prepare for rigorous traditional case interviews for this role
