Most severely underestimate the level of skill that is needed.
Let me briefly explain the process that I typically use with candidates.
Once you confirm the meeting, I will share my ‘CV Builder’ with you. It contains a template, a guide I built on how to create your CV, and examples of CVs that have passed MBB screening.
You then use these materials to refine your current CV, add the new version to the folder and notify me. I will then review it with track changes and notify you when the new version is available. We do this back and forth until we are both happy with the CV. All the iterations are included in the price. This process is offline.
Alternatively, we can also do the CV review the way PrepLounge initially had it in mind - as a live 30 min conversation. The disadvantage to this is that I can only give you feedback within that 30 min window, whereas with the offline one I get to see the version that actually goes out so we both have the guarantee that it’s the best it could be.

For the cover letter, we'd follow a similar logic.
