Given my extensive consulting experience in the Middle East and having a 100% offer rate while applying (MBB, Strategy&, and Tier 2), I provide detailed insights for candidates on interviewers' expectations, background, culture and typical approaches. During my coaching career, I've mentored more than 30 candidates (away from PrepLounge) and defined sets of cases for different candidates' levels.
My approach is rather simple: I would first focus on the candidates' basic toolkit and soft skills in an interview, and make sure to adapt my approach and feedback based on that. I also encourage offline trainings and push candidates to complete some “homework” to accelerate their growth.
For experienced candidates, my mentees always mentioned that my advanced cases and approaches provide them with the final 5% push to become fully ready: something that they struggle in finding once they complete the basics of consulting and case solving.
