To join a consulting firm in gulf countries, like whiteshield is it required to graduate from a target university. Which boutique consulting firms can I join? What is the salary range for an entry level analyst in a boutique firm in gulf countries?

I graduated from a university in Europe ranked 130-140 and I have 1 year of experience in a boutique consulting firm. What can I do to get an interview for whiteshield or boutique consulting firms?

Thank you in advance.

Hello! Exciting that you're considering joining consulting in the middle east!

Experience from a boutique firm and a good academic background are always assets when applying for consulting, and Whiteshield is no different! For Whiteshield specifically if you have any public policy or public sector experience to draw on that could be a game changer. Other than this, NETWORKING is key!

Take time to grow your network to get your foot in the door and get the interview, then once there, ensure you're ready to crack the case! You got this!

Lots of Qs. Let me take them one by one.

To join a consulting firm in gulf countries, like whiteshield is it required to graduate from a target university.

No. But it helps. Since you can't turn back time and go to a different university, then you need to focus on the other things you can control (how you write your CV and CL, and whether or not you have a referral)

This article explains how to go about getting referrals:

To scan the market, you can use something like Perplexity. And if you want more specific salary-ranges, have a chat with a few new joiners in your target office (<1y of tenure).

Hi there,

You don’t need a strict target school for boutiques or even Whiteshield. Your 1 year of boutique experience already helps. Networking is super important in the Gulf, so reaching out to consultants directly will go a long way. Salaries at boutiques vary, but entry-level is often in the ~$40–60k USD range. Focus on tailoring your CV to highlight impact and transferable skills, and keep building connections to land interviews.

Good luck!

Hi,

A target school isn’t required for Whiteshield or other Gulf boutiques. What matters more is solid analytical experience and motivation for the region. With a European degree and 1 year in consulting, you’re well positioned.

Focus on tailoring your CV to Gulf topics and reaching out to current consultants for referrals.

Best,
Lukas

Hey there :)

For boutique consulting firms in the Gulf, graduating from a top-tier university isn’t always required, your experience and skills matter more, especially with a year at a boutique firm. You can target firms like Strategy&, Oliver Wyman, L.E.K., and regional boutiques. Entry-level analyst salaries usually range between 10–20k USD per year, varying by firm and location. To get interviews, network actively on LinkedIn, reach out to alumni, and tailor your CV to highlight relevant consulting experience and impact.

You can reach out if you want tips on CV positioning or networking strategy!

best, Alessa :)
