BCG final round decision

Hi all,

Just finished my final round of interviews with BCG SEA Office. Just wondering if you could shed light on the following:

- The decision process (& how much, if at all, feedback from the first round is taken into account?)

- Comparing the 2 final round interviews (one with MDP and another with MDP&Country Head), I 100% did better in the interview with MDP&Country Head. Just wondering how much influence/weighting would be split between the two interviewers?

Not looking for any prediction or anything here (and also not trying to dwell too much on what's already done). Still any feedback/ personal experiences would be appreciated! Thanks so much:)

Hello!

Congratulations!

Interviewers of 1st and 2nd round won't be meeting with HR for the final decision, only the ones of the 2nd round. However, HR has the input from the first round, which becomes relevant in case they see consistency in something (e.g., struggling consistently with the numbers in both rounds, etc.)

For the 2nd round, the decision needs to be unanimous. If they are very divided, you would be asked for a 3rd interview.

Hope it helps! Cheers,

Clara

Hey there,

1. Usually, all interviewers' perspectives will be considered in the decision-making process. You need to show consistently strong performances within each interview and across all interviews.

2. Same as above.

Fingers crossed!

Cheers,

Hi there,

All interviews are considered when it comes to your offer. This is particularly true if you struggled with x aspect in round 1, and they need to see that issue mitigated/resolved in round 2.

In terms of interviewer decision weight, it's supposed to be equal (and generally is). That said, having 1 person "go at bat" for you is extremely valuable and not to be underestimated. If one interviewer is ambivalent about your performance, but another sticks their neck out, then generally you'll get through.
