You should also be familiar with revenue recognition principles, key expense categories, and common red flags in financial statements.

In addition to financial KPIs, think about industry-specific considerations. For example, in manufacturing or industrials, areas like inventory valuation, capital expenditure, and supply chain costs often receive close attention.
