Hey,

While there's no universal cheat sheet, you can definitely prepare by focusing on the key financial and operational KPIs that are most relevant in an audit context. For an internship at EY, especially in the Industries sector, it's helpful to know how to interpret ratios like gross margin, current ratio, debt-to-equity, and inventory turnover. You should also be familiar with revenue recognition principles, key expense categories, and common red flags in financial statements.

In addition to financial KPIs, think about industry-specific considerations. For example, in manufacturing or industrials, areas like inventory valuation, capital expenditure, and supply chain costs often receive close attention. Practice reviewing sample financials and explaining what the numbers could indicate about business health or risks. Focus on understanding trends and reasoning, not just memorization — the goal is to show that you can think critically, ask smart questions, and support the audit team in identifying areas that deserve a deeper look.

Hello,

thank you for your question and unfortunately, we do not have a cheat sheet for audit cases yet. Our Finance vertical is still in the making, so further content will be added shortly and we will consider adding this to our resources.

Until then, maybe this guide can help or you could reach out to a coach who has worked for EY (here, you can find the coach overview).

We wish you much success for your upcoming interviews and let us know if you need anything else or have feedback for us.
